Comastatic
Comastatic was formed in 2022 in Switzerland as a solo project by vocalist Mattia Di Paola, who later teamed up with guitarist Giuliano Jules Luongo.
Shortly after the project was founded, they traveled to Los Angeles, where they collaborated with producers Stevie Knight, Jon Lundin, and Matt Malpass – well-known names in the alternative and pop-punk scenes (e.g., Stand Atlantic, Blink‑182). They released their first recordings independently in 2023. Among their debut singles were Toxic Energy and Fix It All. At the end of January 2024, they released the track Coma, which reflects themes of abandonment and emotional isolation. In August 2024, the band released the single Misery in collaboration with the Swiss group All To Get Her.
In November 2024, Comastatic signed with the California-based label Hopeless Records. Alongside this, they released their first single under the label – Self Sabotage, featuring guest vocals from the Australian band Down and Out. The collaboration continues their blend of alternative rock and pop-punk, with the song addressing inner conflict and self-sabotage.
In spring and mid-May 2025, the band released another single, 24Seven, in collaboration with Melrose Avenue. The track focuses on the cycle of intense emotions associated with the live fast, die young lifestyle.
