Buchty a loutky
Buchty a loutky is an independent alternative puppet theatre, performing for children and adults. It was founded in 1991 by graduates of the puppetry department of the Prague DAMU. Since then it has produced dozens of titles for children and adults.
In addition, many one-off projects in non-traditional theatre, specific artistic events, as well as experience in puppetry and animation, such as Strings, Kuky Returns, Antichrist and others. In 2010 he premiered a film called Seventeen, which traces the theatre's origins and work to date. Buchty a loutky create a unique theatrical poetics with their unusual way of creation. They treat classic titles and their own original creations with insight and unmistakable humour, with a distinctive emphasis on the artistic aspect, combining old and new puppets, toys, rusty iron and the latest technologies; the performances always include original composed music, in most of the productions interpreted live.
