Berliner Kabarett Anstalt
The Berliner Kabarett Anstalt (BKA) is a private cabaret theatre institution in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The project was first started in the 1980s by Jürgen Müller and Rainer Rubbert, two former members of the well-known cabaret group CaDeWe (Cabaret des Westens: Cabaret of the west). After a few years performing in a tent, the ensemble moved into Mehringdamm 34 in 1988. Since then it presents artists of a variety of perfoming disciplines like music, musical, cabaret, comedy, chanson and travesty.
Celebrities like Tim Fischer, Sissi Perlinger, Helge Schneider and Nina Hagen have already been performing in the context of BKA.
