ausland, located in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, is an independent venue for music, film, literature, performance and other art forms. At the same time, it offers an infrastructure of creation through rehearsal and recording facilities, as well as workshops and various artist residencies. ausland was founded in 2002 and has always been run by a collective of volunteers from diverse backgrounds and countries. The cross-genre program focuses primarily on art and music outside the mainstream and strives to provide a platform for independent artists.
