Gallery Artatak was founded in 2010 in the Hall 12 in the area of industrial ground in Prague 9 at Horní Počernice as a place for contemporary art in this part of Prague where there was no such a place. It was Zuzana Beňová who initiated its groundings.
Art pieces selected for the exhibitions can seem to miss clearly defined concept, but it is more intuitive matter of thing comming from esthetic judgment of team members leading the gallery. Main concept does not resist current trends and post-conceptual tendencies, but organizers try to maintain attention even of a non-professional visitor. They want to interactively engage him. They are not afraid of more popular beautiful pleasing formal side of art acts.
