Anton Kats

Anton Kats is a Ukrainian artist, musician, dancer and lecturer. Kats completed his studies in Critical Theory and Practice at Goldsmiths College in London.

In 2016 Anton was invited to join the aneducation team of documenta14 as an artist, where he started his projects Narrowcast House and A-Letheia. His other works deal with the ambiguity of art and forms of learning through art. Kats has had experience working with non-governmental organizations in Berlin, Kingston, London, and St. Petersburg, developing programs and exhibitions with residents of the city's suburbs. His works have been exhibited at SAVVY Contemporary, Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Showroom Gallery, Haus der Kulturen and many others.

Kats is known in the music world as Ilyich. He tries to create a connection and unity between the worlds of music and art. His music is characterized by the genres of pop, electro, soul, jazz and improvisations. Ilyich has performed at various festivals such as the Roskilde Festival and regularly performs at exhibitions in conjunction with his artistic projects.
