A. G. A-Trio
The three musicians of the A.G.A-Trio from Turkey, Georgia and Armenia reinterpret old melodies from the region of Anatolia and Transcaucasia. Songs were chosen that the band members have known since childhood. The members of the A.G. A.-Trio met for the first time in Berlin in May 2018 and gave an intimate concert. The concert was so well received by the audience that they recorded their debut album in Berlin after a few months. The three young musicians want to show the unique beauty of these melodies and to point out how close the different cultures used to be and that the national separation of Armenia, Turkey and Georgia can be bridged in musical practice. Kaval from Turkey, Duduk from Armenia and accordion from Georgia are among the most common instruments in these countries. In addition to the music, the origin of the melodies and the connection of cultures are explained in Armenian, Turkish, Georgian, German and English.
