Willa Hueta

The mighty Neo-Renaissance villa on the corner of Prosta and Słowackiego Streets was built between 1908 and 1910, and was designed by Władysław Huet, a French teacher at the School of Commerce (today's J. Śniadecki Secondary School), on land purchased from the Psiarnia manor. For years, Huet's villa had been falling into ruins, but since 2007 it has had a new owner, who has completely renovated the building under the supervision of the Voivodeship Conservator of Monuments. Among other things, numerous architectural details of the facade and the interior were restored. Since June 2013, the building houses a hotel, a restaurant and a modern conference centre.
