Wiesław Delimat
Wiesław Delimat, an organist and conductor, is a graduate of the Cracow Academy of Music in the class of organ (J. Jargoń) and conducting (J. Katlewicz). He has participated in numerous master classes of musical interpretation in Poland and abroad. He cooperates with many choral and orchestral ensembles, among others with the Jagiellonian University Academic Choir of Krakow, Capella Cracoviensis, NOSPR, Polish Radio Choir, EuropaChorAkademie. He has given concerts in most European countries, Japan and the USA. In 2000 he established the chamber choir Kantorei Sankt Barbara and the L'Estate Armonico orchestra, with which he performed many vocal-instrumental works (including "Magnificat" and several Bach cantatas, Mozart's "Requiem", works by Schubert and 20th century masters). As a soloist, chamber musician and conductor he has made numerous radio and disc recordings. He is an adjunct professor at the Pontifical Academy of Theology (organ, choir music), director of the Archdiocesan Music School of the 1st and 2nd degree and cantor of St Mark's Church in Cracow. In 2008 he received the title of doctor habilitated in conducting. In 2007 he was awarded the Order of St. Sylvester by Pope Benedict XVI for his outstanding contribution to church music and the Pontificate.
