Werk 2
Werk 2 is a socio-cultural center on a former site of a gas meter factory from the late 19th century in Leipzig. It is managed by Werk 2 e.V. and represents an important event location for the city's cultural scene. Werk 2 houses workshops (ceramics, glass blowing, graphic printing), offices, groups and associations (Senioren Computer Club, Gesellschaft für Völkerverständigung e.V.) and artist studios. The range of events is wide. It ranges from drum courses and discos to concerts by internationally important bands. The site serves the Cammerspielen Leipzig as a venue and the annual Wave-Gotik-Treffen and the Pop-Up-Musikmesse as one of several event locations. The Café ConnStanze is also part of Werk 2.
