Wassim Ibrahim
Wassim Ibrahim is a Polish-based Syrian vocalist and instrumentalist. He began his musical adventure at the age of six by playing the flute and oud lute. He studied at the High Institute of Music (Department of Theory and Composition) in Damascus, where he later taught, among other things, the history of international music, and in Krakow at the Academy of Music, where he obtained a doctoral degree in music composition. He came to Poland in 2013 and settled in Krakow. He came to Poland in 2013 and here he earned a master's degree in composition studies at the Academy of Music in Krakow, under the supervision of Professor Józef Rychlik. There, he founded and leads the amateur choir Chór w Kontakcie (Movement and Dance Space), which was honoured with the title of Krakow Ambassador of Multiculturalism in 2019.
