The Story of the Roma

The permanent exhibition at the Museum of Romani Culture called The Story of the Roma presents Roma history and culture from the beginnings until today. The theme and the scale of the exhibition make it unique worldwide. The story of Roma is presented on a timeline with wider historical context and it uncovers the evolution and the patterns of the Roma community. The permanent exhibition is located at the first floor of the museum and it covers an area of 351 square meters.

It contains of six rooms: The Homeland, On the Road, Searching for Home, The Holocaust, Roma ethnicity after World War II, Roma People in the Media 1989 – 2005.
