Vejvoda's Band
Vejvoda's Band was already established 150 years ago by Josef Vejvoda (born 1834) who also conducted it and it lasted over two generations of Vejvodas till 1948 when Jaromír Vejvoda (born 1902) had unfortunately to break it up because of changed political and social situation. It was brought back to life on March 27, 1992. Then, to the celebration of the unfulfilled 90th birthday of its long-time leader and his father Jaromír, Josef Vejvoda (born 1945) renewed in Zbraslav the band's glory and stood himself in the lead. He is the versatile musician, member of the fourth generation of his musician family. Under his baton Vejvoda's Band for the past ten years has successfully flourished and followed the family musician tradition.
