Rafał Gorzycki Trio

Rafał Gorzycki's newest trio is the second installment of his trio triptych, which he started with the album Playing (3rd place at Top Ten of Polish Jazz 2016). The patronage over the album Ensemble Tuning, released last year at the Krakow Audio Cave label, was taken by "Dwójka" of the Polish Radio. The aim of the trio is to work on the sound, its transformation and exposition as the main component of the musical creation. Ensemble Tuning was created by musicians: Tomasz Pawlicki - flutist and composer, concertmaster of Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, Jakub Ziołek - winner of Paszport Polityki 2016, leader of many important projects and ensembles from the borderland of experimental, electronic and improvised music - multiinstrumentalist, serving here electronics and guitar, and leader of the project - drummer and composer Rafał Gorzycki, considered one of the most important and creative artists of contemporary jazz and chamber music in Poland. He has recorded 22 original albums and has won many awards, distinctions and scholarships.
