Elīna Garanča
Elīna Garanča is a Latvian operatic mezzo-soprano. She is a daughter and student of Anita Garanča, a professor at the Latvian Academy of Music, a vocal teacher at the Latvian National Opera. She gained international fame in 2003 performing the role of Annio in Mozart's "Grace of Titus" at the Salzburger Festispiele. She is a laureate of many music awards - among others Grammy. In 1999 she won the Mirjam Helin International Singing Competition in Helsinki.
