Toshiya Kawasaki set up the renowned Japanese label Mule Musiq in 2000, releasing music by artists such as Lawrence, DJ Koze, Optimo and many others. Along with its sister labels Mule Electronics and Endless Flight, the imprint has collected an impressive roster of artists.
Kawasaki's position as the A&R is the main reason for this. But while Mule is known throughout the world of house and techno, not much is known about Kawasaki. Formerly working in Fashion, he began DJing more frequently on an international base about 10 years ago.
