The Blow-Ups
The Blow-Ups are a Berlin 60s trio that exists since 2004. They make a headstrong and very danceable mix of 60s beat, R'n'B and garage with a focus on the latter. If you listen carefully, you may also notice punk or early Detroit soul influences. By now, a large part of their material consists of original compositions.
In late 2006, one of their tracks appeared on the UK-published mod and garage sampler Soul Like Fire (Rowed Out Records). In 2010, the mini-CD Explode was released as a self-produced record. Since 2011, the band is supported by Peer as the second drummer and sometimes appears as a quartet. 2012 was followed by new studio recordings and first appearances abroad (Istanbul).
