Svartvit
Svartvit is a project from The Hague based on a sound experiment that fills the space between industrial noise and performance art. For more than 10 years Svartvit has been discovering the physicality of sound, often using its own body as a source of sound. High volume, extreme frequencies, feedback, endurance and degradation are used to create a voltage where sound is not only audible but also perceptible and experienced. The result is a very personal performance that, through its directness and power often found in the hardcore punk genre, brings to mind the cathartic and confrontational appearances of Viennese Actionists and early industrial bands such as Club Moral.
