Staatskapelle Berlin

Staatskapelle Berlin is considered one of the leading orchestras in the world and is one of the richest in tradition with a history that can be traced back to 1570. The ensemble has resided at the State Opera Unter den Linden since 1742. The orchestra plays symphonies, operas and ballets. In 1997, an orchestra academy was founded.

The orchestra has done concert and opera tours to all European centers of music, to Japan, China, the Middle East as well as North- and South America.
