Info o umelcovi Sion Hill
The young artist from Ireland is said to have “as much soul as John Mayer” and to be “as funky as Prince”.
With Elephant released in August 2017, the long-awaited debut album by Sion Hill, reveals the young musician and his songwriting talent in many facets. The album was produced by Johann Scheerer (Peter Doherty, Bosnian Rainbows) and recorded completely atypically for today’s production methods live in the Clouds Hill Studios. “We spent a couple of weeks in the studio, rehearsing with the band, trying out new ideas, exploring new arrangements until we had the sound we wanted, and then recording it within days,” said Hill. The debut single Nothing’s Wrong With Loving You, which was named “Song of the Week” by the Irish Times and Spotify Germany was not long in coming and promptly added the track to their playlist "New Music Friday."
After the album release, Sion Hill went on a big live session tour of Europe and played his first headline tour in Germany. Soon, other artists became aware of the young Irishman and invited him as a support act to their concerts. He has also starred in St. Paul & The Broken Bones shows, Pete Doherty, The Academic and Lilly Among Clouds, and has assisted Alice Merton as support on the first part of her European tour. In addition to fellow musicians, festivals became aware and invited him to play.
