Siergiej Wowkotrub Gypsy Swing Quartet

Sergiej Wowkotrub Gypsy Swing Quartet was founded in 2011 by Sergey Wowkotrub - the leader, violin virtuoso, musician originating from Ukraine. Sergey is accompanied on stage by: Tomasz Kobiela (guitar), Jacek Serczyk (guitar), Piotr Górka (double bass). The musicians' extraordinary sensitivity and temperament are apparent both in their ensemble playing and in their solo parts. The quartet's extensive repertoire includes not only gypsy swing standards inspired by the works of Django Reinhardt and Stephan Grappelli, but also well-known and perfectly arranged pop and film hits. The band's fresh and original way of presenting music from the world of jazz and entertainment wins them a wide audience, while their concerts are real musical spectacles with a carefully thought-out drama and unusual atmosphere.
