SHE-la
SHE-la is not only a band – it is a musical, literary and visual undertaking. It does not close itself within a specific musical category – it treats styles, instruments and musical solutions as means of expression, choosing them freely enough to emphasize the depth of the sung words. Music remains here at the service of emotions and the stories that these emotions tell. Apart from songs that squeeze tears from the bottom of the soul, one can find sarcastic manifestoes of bottomless anger in the band's work, or parables about how true happiness tastes like caramel with a bit of salt. Apart from French horn, violin and gong, their compositions feature electric guitar (played with a bow) and daxophone (one printed on a 3D printer). Apart from ballads in classic arrangements, two voices of cello and oboe, you can hear psychedelic circus music, monumental songs associated with film music or subtle, minimalist duets for piano and female voice. That's why the fans of the group say that SHE-la's music is "on the verge of everything". Patrycja Obara is the leader and author of the concept of the multiartistic SHE-la project.
