Regina Spektor
Regina Spektor was born in the Soviet Union and moved with her family to New York in 1989, and during her teenage years she started writing pop songs on her own. She made her debut as a solo artist in 2001 and self-released her first three albums 11:11, Songs and Soviet Kitsch, before signing to Sire Records who re-releaesd Soviet Kitsch in 2004. Spektor’s big breakthrough came with her fourth album Begin To Hope, which included Fidelity and Samson. Since then Regina Spektor has released three more albums, 2009’s Far and What We Saw From The Cheap Seats which arrived in 2012, both debuting at #3 on the Billboard albums list. Her latest and long awaited album Remember Us To Life arrived in the autumn of 2016 and was awarded with praise from both press and fans.
