Reach Another System
Reach Another System is a party row and a techno label from Freiburg. Their first event took place in 2015, the first release of the label followed in 2016. Reach Another System was founded by the DJ duo Daun and Jekyl, whose real names are Jonas Klingberg and Niklas Wille. The two have specialized on EBM, techno, house and industrial, but also on krautrock and experimental music as well as noise.
Florian Kupfer is responsible the the name of the imprint, with his record This Society containing a track called _Reach Another System: on its b side. The label offers a counterpoint to clean pop house sounds á la Robin Schulz or Felix Jaehn. Instead, it supports artists who experiment with noise, drone, krautrock or other genres apart the mainstream.
The label is distributed by Frankfurt's DBH, which was founded by Robert Drewek, Alex Bau and Jörg Henze. The distribution company also offers a lot of Russian lo-fi techno and re-releases of old Chicago house records besides Reach Another System.
