Rafał Gorczyński
Rafał Gorczyński comes from Gdańsk and plays viola da gamba, violone, old and modern double bass. His musical interests include works from the Baroque and early Classicism periods, in particular the realisation of the basso continuo parts and galant style compositions.
In cooperation with Capella Cracoviensis, he recorded an album of works by Adam Jarzębski and music by the Polish court of the Vasa. He had the pleasure to participate in the International Bach Academy in Świdnica, where he played with such artists as Jorge Jimenez, Agnieszka Świątkowska and Marek Toporowski. As an orchestral musician he is associated with the Gorzów Philharmonic and the Baroque Orchestra of the Kraków Academy. He constantly cooperates with the Early Music Ensemble Copernicus and Octava Ensemble Zygmunt Magiera. Since 2018, he has participated in the organization of the Old Cracow Music Festival acting on behalf of the Capella Cracoviensis Foundation.
