Quaker City Night Hawks is an American rock band from Texas consisting of David Matsler (lead vocals, guitar), Sam Anderson (vocals, guitar) and Aaron Haynes (drums). Their debut album El Astronauta merges classic 70s rock with dirty Texas blues, a pinch of science fiction and the famous bible belt boogie. Also the second album QCNH, wich was released in 2019, sticks to no common patterns, but mixes in the new ten songs old R&B, funk and psychedelic guitar rock. The music channel "Noisey" speaks of a band that "appeals equally to fans of Fu Manchu and Tom Waits". The US Rolling Stone in turn writes that the Quaker City Night Hawks' songs are "an announcement to the rules of the mainstream."
