Piotr Nowacki
Piotr Nowacki is a Polish singer (bass). Graduate of the Faculty of Vocal Performance and Acting at the Academy of Music in Łódź in the vocal class of Włodzimierz Zalewski. While still a student he became a soloist at the Grand Theatre in Łódź, where he debuted in the part of Bonza in Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly. He is the laureate of many singing competitions, among which it is worth mentioning the 1st prize at the Song and Ballad Contest of Stanislaw Moniuszko in Warsaw (1984), the prize at the Competition in Krynica, which resulted in the artist's invitation to perform the main part in Rimsky-Korsakov's The Tale of Tsar Saltan at La Scala in Milan. Finalist of the Belvedere Vocal Competition in Vienna and winner of the Pavarotti Competition in Philadelphia, which resulted in an invitation to perform the role of Wurm in Verdi's opera Luisa Miller.
His repertoire includes parts from the operas: Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov, Dvořák's Dmitrij, Monteverdi's Ritorno di Ulisse in Patria, Puccini's Tosca, Strauss's The Knight of the Silver Rose, Lombardi, Rigoletto, Verdi's Otello, Wagner's Parsifal, Moniuszko's The Haunted Manor and Halka, Bellini's Puritani, Mazepa, The Queen of Spades, Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Szymanowski's King Roger, Berlioz's The Damnation of Faust, Mozart's Don Giovanni and The Marriage of Figaro, Bizet's Carmen, Fleischmann's Rotschild's Violin, and Penderecki's Ubu Rex. The artist also performs oratorio and symphonic repertoire, taking part in numerous concerts in the most important opera theaters and concert halls in the world.
