Piotr Michałowski

Piotr Michałowski is a music producer heavily focused on the technical aspects of the creative process and on the tools themselves, which are often his inspiration. The fascination with technology translates into creativity also in such a way that many of the sounds heard in his works are created by repeatedly processing the initial signal with various effects. Piotr's music is usually simple, harmonic, delicate and has strong ambient roots. His works are more often based on sound manipulation and hypnotic looping of simple motifs than on creating complex arrangements. Piotr has been creating for over a dozen years, and has been giving concerts since 2008, mainly under the pseudonym Nmls. Until now, he had the opportunity to play about 100 concerts both at home and abroad (China, Germany, the Czech Republic). His solo and duo music (Bojanek & Michalowski, Ambot) was published in such labels as Ohm Resistance, Component Recordings, Essentia Mundi and Etalabel. In 2016, he launched his own label N_Coded Records and has released a solo album On & On as Nmls and a cooperative album Solid recorded together with Grzeogrz Bojanek. In addition to music, he also deals with programming as well as photography and video production.
