Peter Maffay
Peter Maffay is a German singer, composer, actor, guitarist and music producer with Romanian roots. At the beginning of his career he became known as a pop singer, but then developed into one of the most successful German-speaking rock and pop musicians.
Between the years 1970 and 2014, Maffay has released a total of 23 studio albums. With 18 number-one albums he is by far the most successful artist in the German album charts. In addition, he is the co-inventor of the fairy tale and cartoon character Tabaluga. Maffay also received numerous of music awards – in 2010 he was honored with the Echo for his life's work.
