Leisure System x Finest Friday: Gábor Lázár + JakoJako + Ben UFO + More

Tonight Leisure System residents Golden Medusa and Barker, who will release a new album soon, bring four guests who perfectly match the label's and the leftfield electronica event's sound spectrum.

Gábor Lázár is a Hungarian sound artist and producer with releases on imprints such as Presto?! and particularly The Death Of Rave, solo or in collaboration with Mark Fell. Lázár's live set creates cascades of sound, from deconstructed sounds to a danceable rave feel. After his debut at Säule he performs live at Berghain tonight.

JakoJako is an emerging Berlin-based musician focussing on hardware-heavy modular synth sets. Fittingly, she is part of the team around Schneiders Laden. Her Aequilibration EP has recently been released through Leisure System, presenting buzzing, humming and shimmering sounds.

The third live act is Marie Davidson, whose table full of gear is energetically treated corresponding with live vocals in a hard-to-define field of trippy electro, ambient pads, Italo disco references, techno and post sound aesthetics.

The third DJ of the night is Ben UFO, whose musical coordinate system should be known to all visitors.

At Panorama Bar Elias Mazian, Job Jobse and Luc Mastzu join forces for a powerful triple back set, while Elli and DJ Dustin from Giegling each present their deep, individual house derivates solo.

Today's live act is provided by Photay, who connects digital percussions to collages with soft song structures and ambient parts, which intensify together with the danceable rhythms. All this happens somewhere between headphone and club sound, using field recordings and nature sounds as well as Djembe drums or just straight kicks.
