Para Yok Kollektiv
The Para Yok collective is a young party and political collective from Berlin-Kreuzberg, born out of a close circle of friends who one evening had the idea to organise a festival. No sooner said than done: in 2018, the Para Yok Festival took place for the first time on the grounds of Coolmühle e.V. with a colourful programme of music, workshops and performances. With the festival, the collective wanted to create an alternative to the existing mainstream party culture in Berlin and offer a safe space for all participants.
The collective is non-commercial and anti-capitalist. It organises parties and actions with political aspirations and wants to create spaces in which all visitors feel comfortable, which is why it puts lot of emphasis on awareness structures its events. Its stance is clearly anti-fascist, anti-sexist, anti-racist, and it resolutely opposes all xenophobic, queerphobic, ableist and transphobic tendencies.
