The band was founded by the legendary drummer Omar Hakim, consisting of the very stars of contemporary jazz: Rachel Z, Linley Marhe and Kurt Rosenwinkel. The incredible style and lightness of playing the drums made Omar Hakim one of the most recognizable musicians in the world. He has performed and recorded with such celebrities as: Miles Davis, Weather Report, David Bowie, Sting, Dire Straits, Madonna, Everything But the Girl, Journey, Kate Bush and Daft Punk. Rachel Z was noticed thanks to brilliant performances in the band Steps Ahead. This led her to collaborate with Wayne Shorter on his album - High Life. Then she toured the world, playing alongside Peter Gabriel and Pino Daniele. Currently, he has 10 original albums as a leader. Rosenwinkel's music is rooted in the rich tradition of jazz, but its complexity rises to a whole new level. Guitarist, composer and teacher. During his 25-year-old musical career, he collaborated with such artists as Brad Mehldau, Brian Blade, Mark Turner, Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, Joe Henderson, Paul Motian and Gary Burton. Linley Marthe let himself be known to the world as a member of the band Joe Zawinula.
