Nils Wanderer
Nils Wanderer is a German Countertenor and Choreographer based in London and Stuttgart. He collaborates regularly as a soloist with orchestras and plays operatic roles. He's a winner of the International Asian Singing Competition and the Gold Medal for outstanding performance as first countertenor, and was awarded First Prize, as well as the Audience Prize, at the Handel Competition in Karlsruhe as singer as well as flutist. Over the last years the young Countertenor had the honour to premiere many pieces written for him and his own ensembles Counterwerk (two percussionists and countertenor) and is the artistic director of the baroque music and dance ensemble Meridies. He received the Young Artist Award at the Barbican Centre London for his work as Singer, Director, Choreographer, Conductor and Musical Director of the Boys Choir Pueri Cantores Altahensis.
