Murray A. Lightburn

Murray A. Lightburn is the founder, lead vocalist and principal songwriter for Canadian indie-rock veterans the Dears.

Lightburn is a trailblazer of the Canadian scene with a distinguished catalog of work that includes 2 highly-regarded solo albums and 8 critically acclaimed albums leading the Dears alongside his wife, Natalia Yanchak. Lightburn’s music is rooted in a dark, orchestral pop sound built around lushly produced lamentations on the melodrama of modern life.
