Mateusz Jaremko
A graduate of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, specialising in jazz instrumentalism. In 2019, he participated in a master guitar workshop led by Pat Metheny. In early 2022, he released his debut album Jaremko Trio - Grow. His main inspiration for writing compositions is nature in its broadest sense and observation of its changes. During his high school years he became interested in jazz music and consequently, in performing this music on guitar. The improvisational approach to music opened many gates in him for further creativity. Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Pat Martino - the work of these masters inspired him to pass a music degree focused on jazz music. From 2013 to 2018 he studied jazz instrumentalist at the Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk. During his studies he collaborated with the Mazovian Music Theatre, Jan Konop's Big Band, the Gdańsk Baltic Philharmonic, the Music Theatre in Gdynia, CoOperate Orchestra, among others. He participated in workshops conducted by: Kurt Rosenwinkel, Nelson Veras, Timucin Sahin, Troy Roberts, Zohar Fresco, Piotr Wojtasik, Ed Partyka, among others. Co-creator of many musical and stage projects and undertakings. Culture creator on the Tricity music scene. Since 2010 he has been professionally fulfilling himself as a teacher of playing instruments.
In 2021 he recorded his debut instrumental album Jaremko Trio – Grow, consisting of: Filip Arasimowicz (double bass), Antoni Wojnar (drums), Mateusz Jaremko (guitars, compositions, arrangements). Apart from his own compositions, the band's leader presents his perspective on the works of great artists such as Jimi Hendrix or The Beatles.
