Marimba Mama

Mama Marimba is a Czech-American music band founded in 2008. From the first moment draws its unique sound, the heart consists of three wooden xylophones, marimba, tuned in the style of South African percussion ensembles. In combination with the sound of drum kit, various percussion, female vocals and brass instruments there is a musical unit that lacks throbbing "groove", instrumental precision, and above the immediate pleasure of the music itself. Rhythms and melodies from all over the world performed by Marimba Mama turns into a fascinating kaleidoscope of moods, which mixes traditional African motifs with the best of reggae, funk and Afro-Cuban music. Every performance is so impressive because of natural energy is becoming a unique cultural experience.
