Mariko Kato-Shioya
Mariko Shioya was born in Hokkaido, Japan. She studied piano at the School of Music in Uozu, Japan with Prof. Jiro Yamamoto and during that time she became a prize-winner of piano competitions in Japan. Mariko Shioya was also a participant in international music courses taught by Prof. Halina-Czerny Stefanska. She completed her studies in piano with Prof. Stefan Wojtas and harpsichord with Prof. Elżbieta Stefańska as part of postgraduate studies at the Academy of Music in Kraków. She performs on the piano and harpsichord, also in a duo with her Professor Elżbieta Stafańska.
