Maria João

Maria João is a Portuguese jazz singer, who is famous for her vocal flexibility and improvisation skills. It is normally regarded as a jazz artist, but her music is a blend of folk, modern jazz, avant-garde, electronic, symphonic music, chanson and other genres. Apart from his main musical partner, the Portuguese pianist Maria Laginha, cooperated in the course of his career, with many other musicians such as Aki Takase, Manu Katch, Trilok Gurt or Bobby McFerrin.
