Marcin Janek
Marcin Janek is a musician of the young generation of Tri-City jazz. Saxophonist, clarinetist, composer and arranger. He graduated from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk with a degree in jazz and stage music, and from the University of Gdańsk with a degree in history. He studied jazz with the outstanding Polish saxophonist Maciej Sikała and clarinettist Emil Kowalski. Jazz musician and saxophone instructor at the Musicollective music school. Winner of Grand Prix at the national Jazz&School Festival 2013 competition in Lubaczów. Currently, he is preparing his own concert programme. He has collaborated and performed with such artists as Wojciech Staroniewicz, Leszek Możdżer, Eric Allen, Aleksandra Mońko-Allen, Janusz Mackiewicz, Przemysław Dyakowski, Judy Carmichael, Norm Lewis, Lorraine Brown, Jan Konop Big Band, Grażyna Łobaszewska, Ewa Bem, Ewa Uryga or Radikal Guru, Kamil Bednarek.
