Marc Broussard is an American singer-songwriter who was born in Carencro, Louisiana in the United States. His style is best described as Bayou Soul, a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock, and pop, matched with distinct Southern roots. In his career, he has released eight studio albums, one live album, three EPs, and has charted twice on Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks.
He released his first solo album Momentary Setback in 2002, after his participation in the rather short-lived Christian band Y. His second album Carencro, which was released in 2004 by Island Records, was the one that changed his career majorly and put him on the map of the international singer/songwriter genre.
Marc Broussard is also involved in a variety of charity projects, that he promotes with the proceeds of his album income. In 2016 he founded an organization called SOS Foundation and has been supporting young local musicians in Louisana with his own label Artist Tone Records since 2017.
