Madmans Esprit
Madmans Esprit is a post black metal/visual kei band based in Seoul and Berlin. The band released their first album, Nacht in 2014. Their latest album 무의식의 의식화 (Conscientization of Unconsciousness) was released in October 2018. In Nacht the band combined various black metal subgenres with shoegazey melodies and neoclassical flair, and an emotional, almost operatic vocal, known from Japanese visual kei bands. The album provides a lot of dynamic emotions. From folk nylon guitar to suicidal black metal. After the band moved to Berlin, they successfully performed in Europe, including Stockholm, Sweden in 2017. With the release of 무의식의 의식화 they went on an Asian tour. Compared to Nacht, their latest album has much broader influences from different genres such as post-punk and even indie rock.
