Bang Bang
Hailing from Legionowo, near Warsaw, Bang Bang is one of the oldest continuously playing Polish punk bands. The quartet's line-up today consists of bassist Bogdan Rogu Rogucki and guitarist Bogdan Japa Kozieł - two veterans who co-founded Sexbomba in 1986. In 1989, the former was the founder of the first Bang Bang line-up. Tadeusz Tadek Błaszak has been playing drums since 2000. A new acquisition is vocalist Piotr Goryl Wiliński, previously frontman of such bands as Crom Cruac (Jarocin 88) and Syndrom Kreta. The band performed at the Jarocin festival in 1992-93. They play melodic punk 77, i.e. punk mixed with rock'n roll inspired by the first wave of British punk. Apart from their own compositions, the band often returns to punk and rock'n'roll standards of the 1970s. In the 20th century, the band's music appeared mainly on cassettes in the second circuit. After 2000, the band self-recorded and released two demos, followed by three albums in collaboration with Jimmy Jazz Records: Dissonance, To Legionowo, Bad Districts.
