Le Diable Dégoutant
The solo project of Occitan avant-folk luminary Pauline Marx, earlier of duo La Fureur de Vouivre, sees her sing along to a raw and eerie palette of sounds: insectile burbles and buzzes, bubbling brooks, tiny violins and thudding drums. Submerged in mud and speculative folklore, the resulting music is mischievous and evasive, like a grasshopper that's found its way into your apartment. She has released two albums so far for failsafe indie labels Aguirre Records and GLARC.
