Lanugo

Pop, Alternatíva/Indie | Lanugo is a unique band with a long and established reputation in the Czech music scene. They released the debut album in the premium jazz label Animal Music although their music resonates with pop, rock and electronica; jazz is but an ingredient. The second album Lanugo, 2011 went public last November and the band was the only producer of the record.

One of the leading persons of the group is the vocalist, composer, and lyricist Markéta Foukalová. The pleasant color and wide range of her voice amalgamates with dynamic melody of songs that emotional and attractive to the audiences. Live performances by Lanugo offer a landslide experience especially thanks to the supreme skills of professional musicians recruiting from the young jazz scene: Viliam Béreš (pianist), Rastislav Uhrík (bass), Mirek Šmilauer (guitar), Martin Kopřiva (drums) and Martin Novák (percussion).
