L’Âme Immortelle
L’Âme Immortelle (French for the immortal soul) is an Austrian duo consisting of Thomas Rainer and Sonja Kraushofer. The band was founded in 1996 by Thomas Rainer and Hannes Medwenitsch, who left the band in 2002 for health reasons. The band has existed for more than 20 years and has had numerous chart successes. L’Âme Immortelle's roots lie in the metal sector. From about 1994, Thomas Rainer played bass in a black metal band and temporarily took over the vocals there. After the band was expanded to include a keyboard player, Rainer developed an interest in electronic music.
