Aleksander Dębicz returns to the Artus Court with an unusual project inspired by the work of Jan Sebastian Bach.

Aleksander Dębicz is one of the most versatile Polish pianists and composers. The starting point for his artistic activity is improvisation and authorial music, which he often combines with the repertoire of classical masters. In 2015, on his debut album Cinematic Piano, he published a series of 12 own compositions inspired by film art. Since then, he has composed music for many films, radio plays and theater performances, referring to, among others cooperation with the Polish Theater in Warsaw. For music for the radio play of Polish Radio Anna Karenina, dir. Katarzyna Michałkiewicz received an award at the Two Theaters 2019 festival. In 2018, the artist's third album - Invention was released. Dębicz presented his interpretation of J. S. Bach's Invention and Sinfonia complete set and original compositions inspired by Bachem and hip-hop music. The album was nominated for Fryderyk 2019 and collected a number of very enthusiastic reviews. In April 2019, a new song by Aleksander Dębicz The Union was released, composed on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Poland's accession to the European Union.

Aleksander Dębicz is not afraid of experiments, working with DJs and graphic designers creating computer animations. This trend is not accidental - it expresses the changing approach to art and its role in the young generation of artists and listeners. In the Artus Court, the artist will present songs from his last album, showing a completely new face of Jan Sebastian Bach.
