Kirył Keduk

Kiryl Keduk was born in Grodno, Belarus, into a family with Polish roots. He made his debut at the age of 10 as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic in Minsk. He received his basic musical education in Grodno. Between 2001 and 2006 he studied at the General Primary and Secondary Music School in Gdansk in the piano class of Professor Waldemar Wojtal, and then studied under the same professor at the Music Academy in Gdansk. He continued his studies at the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale in Imola (Italy) in the class of Boris Petrushansky and at the University of Music in Warsaw, where he graduated in the class of Professor Piotr Paleczny. In 2013 he completed the postgraduate course "International Artist Diploma" under the direction of Graham Scott at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. He is the winner of 15 international piano competitions, including the Vladimir Horowitz Competition in Kiev and the "James Mottram International Piano Competition" in Manchester. In 2009 he won First Prize and the Audience Prize at the "Kissinger Klavier-Olymp" International Piano Competition in Bad Kissingen. He has given concerts in most European countries, both Americas and in Japan. He has performed with excellent orchestras, such as the Russian National Philharmonic, Liverpool Philharmonic, Sicilian Symphony, National Philharmonic of Ukraine, National Chamber Orchestra of Belarus, Orchestra Internazionale d'Italia, as well as with the orchestras of the Kraków Philharmonic, Baltic Philharmonic, Pomeranian Philharmonic, Szczecin Philharmonic, Baltic Opera Orchestra, Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot, Silesian Chamber Orchestra. For his artistic achievements he was honoured twice with the Award of the President of the City of Gdańsk. In April 2013 the pianist's album My Polish Diary was released, recorded for the American label Delos. In 2013 Kiryl Keduk initiated and created the international music festival TyzenHouse in his hometown - Grodno, Belarus.
