Kinderopernhaus Lichtenberg
The children's opera house Lichtenberg (Kinderopernhaus Lichtenberg) was founded in 2010 by Regina Lux-Hahn and is a place where elementary school students stage operas themselves. In cooperation with the Staatsoper Unter den Linden and the Caritasverband they have been a number of celebrated music theatre productions so far.
The children's opera house sees itself as a comprehensive musical education project that wants to inspire children for opera and classical music. The children can discover their own artistic creative potential in the productions. In addition, the study of the Gesamtkunstwerk Musiktheater promotes the development of other competences, such as linguistic ability, empathy and social skills, because opera is a joint task that succeeds only in constructive cooperation of all.
