Karwendel
Karwendel is the music project of singer-songwriter Sebastian Król from Hamburg. From the adventure in a self-catering hut he returned to Hamburg in 2019 with a whole set of new songs. Linguistically inspired by the stormy lyricism of Émile Verhaeren and the unconditional last notes of Wolfgang Herrndorf, the guitar music is intent on allowing the encompassing content of the German lyrics to unfold. Thus, they are fragile scaffolds upon which weighty themes rest; such as humility before finitude and the celebration of the beauty of life. On November 26, 2021, the debut album Im Lichte der Zeit was released on their own label Backseat.
