Joy Denalane
Joy Maureen Denalane is a German soul and R'n'B singer, who combines arrangements of Anglo-American and African music with German lyrics. Denalane cooperated with Freundeskreis and the FK Allstars on the singles Mit dir, Tabula Rasa Part II and En directo in 1999. Her first solo record, Mamani, which her partner Max Herre (from the soul-hip-hop formation Freundeskreis) co-wrote and co-produced, was released in 2002. In 2006, the artist released her second album Born & Raised, wich reached number two on the LP Charts. In April of the same year, Denalane, Max Herre, Götz Gottschalk and Sophie Raml founded the Nesola label. Denalane's third album Gleisdreick was released in 2017.
